Edinburgh Restaurants Guide: Cafe Grande – Our Review

Restaurant: Cafe Grande

Preferred for Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner – Breakfast/Casual Dinner

Being our first trip to Scotland and indeed Edinburgh, we were pleasantly surprised with the number of high quality restaurants.

We stayed two nights in Bruntsfield Place, a location fairly central in Edinburgh. This location had a great variety of restaurants. Arriving in the evening we decided to stay close to our accommodation and took a short walk on a bustling street. We were very lucky to find space in Cafe Grande, a small restaurant with a varied menu. Booking is definitely recommended in Edinburgh!

We had a lovely meal here, well presented tasty food with really helpful and accommodating staff. We were made to feel so welcome and even booked a table for breakfast for the next morning. Breakfast was just as good as dinner and did not disappoint. For the beer drinkers, they had a great selection of local beers.

Overall, a lovely, friendly atmosphere with delicious food, we would definitely recommend this place to everyone. A perfect venue for a casual, relaxed meal with value for money. We found it hard to fault this Place, however as with other restaurants in Edinburgh, it can get very busy very quickly so booking in advance is recommended!
